چکیده
This study investigated the tribological behaviour of Pongamia oil (PO) and 15W–40 mineral engine (MO) with without addition graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs). The friction wear characteristics were evaluated in four-ball anti-wear tests according to ASTM D4172 standard. morphology worn surfaces lubrication mechanism GNPs via SEM EDS. also focuses on effect GNP concentration at various concentrations. 0.05 wt % PO MO exhibits lowest 17.5% 12.24% reduction, respectively, 11.96% 5.14% respectively. Through EDS surface analysis, enhancement by polishing was confirmed. deposition formation a protective film prevent interacting from rubbing, resulting reduction.

The tribological properties of zinc borate ultrafine powder as a lubricant additive in sunflower oil
This paper presents an investigation on the tribological properties of zinc borate ultrafine powder (ZBUP) employed as a lubricant additive in sunflower oil. The stable dispersions of 0.5 wt%, 1 wt% and 2 wt% ZBUP in sunflower oil were achieved by using an ultrasonic homogenizer. Both a 4-ball tester and a pin-on-disc tester were employed to evaluate the antiwear and friction reduction capabili...
متن کاملTuning Tribological Performance of Layered Zirconium Phosphate Nanoplatelets in Oil by Surface and Interlayer Modifications
Two-dimensional (2D) inorganic layered nanoplatelets exhibit superior lubricating properties in both solid states and oil dispersions. In this paper, we have systematically investigated the effects of surface and interlayer modifications on the tribological performance of layered α-zirconium phosphate (ZrP) nanoplatelets in mineral oil. The pristine layered ZrP nanoplatelets were first reacted ...

Heteroatom doping into the graphitic frameworks have been intensively studied for the development of metal-free electrocatalysts. However, the choice of heteroatoms is limited to non-metallic elements and heteroatom-doped graphitic materials do not satisfy commercial demands in terms of cost and stability. Here we realize doping semimetal antimony (Sb) at the edges of graphene nanoplatelets (Gn...

Graphene, a flat monolayer of carbon atoms tightly packed into a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice, has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years for potential applications in many technological fields, such as nanoelectronics, nanocomposites, and hydrogen supercapacitors. One possible route to harnessing these properties would be to incorporate graphene sheets into composite material...
متن کاملGraphene Nanoplatelets as Novel Reinforcement Filler in Poly(lactic acid)/Epoxidized Palm Oil Green Nanocomposites: Mechanical Properties
Graphene nanoplatelet (xGnP) was investigated as a novel reinforcement filler in mechanical properties for poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/epoxidized palm oil (EPO) blend. PLA/EPO/xGnP green nanocomposites were successfully prepared by melt blending method. PLA/EPO reinforced with xGnP resulted in an increase of up to 26.5% and 60.6% in the tensile strength and elongation at break of the nanocomposites...
